Ellen Putri Edita has joined ERIA since September 2019. As a Research Associate, she is currently involved in research on Regional Knowledge Centre for Marine Plastic Debris in ASEAN Plus Three countries.
Prior to joining ERIA, Ellen served as an individual consultant for Ministry of Transportation, Republic of Indonesia, where she had responsibilities to calculate emission reduction from mitigation actions and create an energy modelling from transportation sector.
Ellen holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science at Lund University, Sweden. While pursuing her master’s degree, she and her team had a chance to create travel policy suggestion for Malmö Municipality due to the fact that a large portion of carbon emissions from this municipality comes from business travels. In addition to her academic activities, Ellen was a co-founder of a start-up called 'Super Tempe' which serves as an alternative sustainable food in Sweden.
